Konro Grill Made of Diatomite Clay
This Konro/Hibachi grill is made in Japan using diatomite clay. Diatomaceous earth is a fossil-rich layer formed from microscopic phytoplankton (diatoms) that settled over thousands of years on seabeds and lakebeds. This material is ideally suited for Konro/Hibachi grills due to its excellent fire resistance and high heat retention properties. It works best with Binchotan charcoal, bringing out the full flavor of the ingredients. Comes with a small pair of tongs included.
Important: Coconut or Binchotan charcoal burns for over 3-4hours, so you can easily extinguish it in our cast iron containers and reuse it.
Note: The grill should only be used in very well-ventilated spaces (preferably outdoors), as all types of charcoal emit carbon monoxide. Without proper ventilation, there is a serious risk of poisoning.
