Nagao Higonokami 120 mm Aogami Warikomi Brass is a traditional Japanese pocket knife (Higo no Kami) with a simple, robust, and highly reliable construction. It is handcrafted in Miki, Japan, by Nagao Kanekoma – the only and last authentic maker still producing original traditional Higonokami knives.
Steel: hand‑forged Aogami #2 (Blue Steel) san‑mai laminate
Mechanism: non‑locking design; the blade extension (chikiri) enables one‑hand opening and stabilizes the blade during use
Handle material: solid brass, traditionally shaped
Handle length: approx. 120 mm
Additional: lanyard hole at the end of the handle
Craftsmanship: handmade in Miki City, Japan
Due to its non‑locking construction, the Higonokami requires more attentive handling, but in return offers the authentic feel of a traditional Japanese knife and exceptional sharpness thanks to Aogami steel.
