Additionally, compared to a steel honing rod, ceramic provides a much finer and smoother sharpening process.
Usage Instructions:
To use the honing rod, gently and without excessive pressure, glide the knife blade over its surface, correcting any imperfections that occur during everyday use. The angle should be as close as possible to the angle at which the knife was originally sharpened (approximately 15 degrees) to achieve the best results. Unlike a steel honing rod, a ceramic honing rod allows you to maintain both Japanese and European knives, including the hardest steels used in knife production.
